Indulge in Cookies for the Cure

In my last post, I wrote about breast cancer awareness for the month of October.  At BlogHer, I received a very delicious cookie from a company called Cheryl’s. The cookies was so good I looked up the company online and found they had an online store.  I don’t think I had ever tasted a cookie that good in so long. I love cookies but I have not eaten a cookie in so long.

I was very happy to receive an email from a Cheryl’s representative to try out another cookie and write a review about it. I reviewed the Buttercream Frosted Heart shaped cookie for their Cookies for the Cure campaign for the month of October.  As I mentioned in my last post, October is breast cancer awareness month.

I simply love Cheryl’s buttercream frosted cookie;  it is my guilty pleasure.  The cookie is soft, thick, and white.  Even though the cookie is soft, it does not crumble and leave crumbs on your lap or table.  The cookie has a pink frosting on top for breast cancer awareness.  When I bit into it, I see fireworks!  It’s that good!  I taste all of the flavors especially the butter.   Julia Child swore everything taste better with butter and I agree. The cookie is also not very sweet, which is a plus. I used to have a sweet tooth but not so much anymore. Cookies that are too sweet for me to eat is something that I cannot tolerate anymore.  The buttercream frosted cookie has just the right amount of sweetness for me.

I know it is not good for me to be eating like this  but I do like to indulge in delicious cookies from time to time and this cookie from Cheryl’s is for a good cause.  Life is too short for me not to enjoy a buttercream cookie and it makes me happy.

Cheryl’s is having a Cookies for a Cure campaign where 10% of the proceeds from the buttercream frosted heart cut-out cookie will go to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.  Cheryl is even having a 40% off sale on the buttercream frosted cookie. But, you must hurry. These cookies are only good for the month of October.

The grade I gave the buttercream frosted heart cut-out cookie from Cheryl’s is an A+!

***Disclaimer:  I received two buttercream frosted heart cut-out cookies from Cheryl’s in order to write this review.
