Fantastic Farms and Vineyards on Long Island’s North Fork- Perfect day trip!

Looking for a perfect day trip? Plan a drive to the North Fork of Long Island! The east end of Long Island has many beautiful towns and beaches to visit (see more here) but the North Fork is what we call Wine Country and  is home to many wonderful farms and rolling vineyards. It’s 60 miles east of Manhattan but a world away. When you see the sign “Welcome to Long Island Wine Country”, be ready to stop and soak in the coastal beauty , vineyards and farmlands of the quiet and quaint North Fork. On November 9th there is a taste North Fork event, but you can go any weekend to enjoy a day out of shopping for L.I. grown fruits and vegetables, homemade  fresh baked goods, artisan crafts and Long Island wines.
